A Japanese-made StingRay EX, inheriting the DNA of the USA!
After master Leo Fender introduced the Precision Bass and Jazz Bass to the world at Fender, Music Man released the StingRay in 1976. Its thick, core tone has continued to be supported by numerous artists to this day, establishing it as a standard bass model.
This particular instrument is the StingRay EX model, manufactured from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
This series uses the same parts as the USA-made models and is assembled in Japan. While it was a more affordable lineup than the USA-made models at the time, its quality is comparable and it remains popular today.
It features a sunburst finish, an alder body, and a rosewood fingerboard.
Controls include volume and a 3-band EQ for treble, middle, and bass.
With its thick lows, crisp attack, and prominent midrange, it cuts through the mix exceptionally well.
The StingRay's signature sound is captivating, whether played with a pick or fingers!
