Remarkable example of an antique Gibson UB-3, a true collector’s gem with one-family provenance.

All original hardware, including cobra hooks and Nashville-style tailpiece. Spring-loaded Waverlies are smooth and responsive. In my care, a quality calfskin install and light setup revealed a bright, lively tone on an already well-preserved instrument, essentially as found.

Beautiful sunburst finish with decorative purfling around the resonator plate. Classic late 20s/early 30s pearl-inlaid “The Gibson” script. Ivoriod binding on both the fingerboard and resonator in excellent shape. Very clean overall, with only a few light scratches and no visible playing wear. Small paint blemish on peghead... Strung with a fresh set of Midwest Catguts (relax, they're vegan).

Includes original case, clean and functional with only a small tear on bottom.

The UB-3 ranks among the most desirable banjo-ukes. Truly original examples like this are increasingly scarce.

Note: May ship with a different bridge.
