Vintage 1940's Turner 999 Dynamic Ring-Mounted Microphone-working great!

     Offering a vintage 1940's era Turner Model 999 Dynamic Ring-Mounted Microphone. The 999 was a general use microphone, considered state of the art at it's time, marketed for radio broadcasting, two-way communications, and public address. We're suspended the mic body within an 8" ring, emulating the style of microphones that were popular throughout the early 20th century.

      The physical condition of the casing is very good, original paint, with the mic producing an audio profile reminiscent of those early radio broadcasts, midrange dominant with significant bass roll-off. (You can hear a voice sample on the listing video.) The mic and ring support are threaded to a heavily-weighted adjustable-height desk stand, and hardwired to a 3 foot cable with 1/4" male phono plug. Total height 19-25". Or if you wish, the ring could also be threaded onto any other desk and floor stand.
