Up for grabs is this beautiful ‘67 Reissue Flying V from the Gibson Custom Shop in the very rare Brown Sunburst finish. This guitar is light and resonant and plays effortlessly. The neck is a nice rounded C profile, similar to a 58 neck, but a tad less hefty. Action is low and it’s setup very nicely. The unpotted Burstbuckers are a great pair for that classic 60’s Gibson tone, great for huge leads and chunky rhythm tones. This one weighs in at 6 pounds 9 ounces on my scale.
Condition wise, this one is pretty much the definition of “very good”. No cracks, breaks or large dings and it presents very well overall with just a couple very small nicks on the body and one near the nut on the low-E side. A couple things to note - the factory tuners have been replaced with locking Klusons, which are excellent, but there are some nicks around the tuning pegs, presumably from the replacement. Hard to see unless you’re right up on it, but they’re there. The lower strap button was also moved half an inch for a bit better weight balance. It would make an excellent gigging guitar since you don’t have to worry about the first few dings.
Original Gibson Custom case and COA are included.
