The 2007 Fender Highway One Stratocaster SSS is a highly regarded "bare-bones" American-made guitar. Introduced in 2002, the line was revamped in 2006/2007 to feature upgraded pickups, a large '70s-style headstock, and a unique, ultra-thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that wears in quickly and ages beautifully.
- Body: Solid Alder
- Finish: Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer (allows the wood to resonate freely)
- Neck: Maple with a modern C-shape profile (available with Maple or Rosewood fretboards)
- Frets: 22 Jumbo frets (larger than vintage wire for easier bending)
- Pickups: 3 x Hot Single-Coil Strat pickups with Alnico III magnets (Middle pickup is reverse-wound/reverse-polarity for hum cancellation in positions 2 and 4)
- Electronics: "Greasebucket" tone circuit (rolls off high frequencies without adding bass or muddying your tone)
- Bridge: Vintage-style synchronized tremolo
