Vintage Balalaika 3 string wood construction. Hand painted triangle shaped solid spruce top with art work & swirl painted perfling. Decorative 1 piece 3 string unfixed rosewood bridge. Tail is 3 ivory color bolts sunk in the base. Mahogany finished beechwood 6 slat rounded back & flat 6 sided bottom. Mahogany U radius set neck & paddle headstock with vintage metal gear 3 strip half cover tuners & ivory color buttons. 15 fret ebony painted board w/dot fret markers. 15 1/2" scale & 1 7/16" at wooden top nut. Neck is flat & straight & plays clean. 9 NM cosmetic with almost no wear. Signed by the artist Sokolova. Has original hang tag:"Authentic Hand Painted Russian Balalaika". Produced in St Petersburg at the Arfa factory."Imported from Russia by the Sovietski Collection" for Fulcrum International. Strings are old & will need replacement. Some minor scratches and scuffs etc. Sold as is as described
