Up for sale is my Lowden Pierre Bensusan signature F model in Adirondack spruce and Honduran rosewood. This guitar is overall in excellent condition with only a few dents on the top, none of which break through the finish (see photos). The neck angle is very healthy, giving low action and decent saddle height. There are no signs of damage or humidity stress, a fairly new guitar. This serial has been refretted with Jescar EVO Gold fretwire, a welcome addition that looks and feels amazing with long-wearing durability. This model has a few key features that set it apart from your average F model:
- AAAA Adirondack Spruce top
- AAAA Honduras Rosewood back and sides
- Cutaway and arm bevel
- 1-3/4" nut
- 25.6" scale length (650mm)
- Wide Fingerstyle 45mm/60mm neck
- 22 frets (2 more than standard Lowden, 1 more than 50 series)
- Ebony binding
- Upgraded Ameritage case
The sound of this instrument is enchanting. The tone is simultaneously bright, crisp, warm and rich. Long ringing sustain and huge headroom thanks to the Adirondack top. This is a superlative instrument capable of producing that grand sound demanded by today's fingerstyle guitarists.
