1960s Keystone Badge Ludwig Super Classic in Blue Oyster Pearl – a kit with iconic status that needs little introduction.
Included in the sale are the 22” bass drum, 13” mounted tom and 16” floor tom with legs. (Nothing else shown in the photographs is included.) The toms are fitted with coated Remo heads, with an Evans EMAD fitted to the bass drum.
A well-preserved and highly usable vintage kit that retains a wonderfully consistent colour match across all three drums and presents exceptionally well for its age, with an attractive patina developed naturally over the decades.
The kit has been fitted with vintage Rogers Swivomatic tom collets, a common period modification intended to improve mounting stability and functionality.
Both internal tom dampeners are present and fully functional.
The classic 3-ply maple, poplar and mahogany shells with reinforcement rings and painted interiors deliver the warm, low-end attack and open character for which vintage Ludwig drums are renowned. A versatile and inspiring sound equally at home in the studio, on stage, or in the rehearsal room.
This is a genuinely lovely vintage kit with tremendous character, soul and visual appeal. An increasingly difficult configuration to find in such honest, usable condition.
Collection preferred, although I would be willing to discuss delivery within a reasonable distance.
Priced competitively and according to condition. Sensible offers considered.
Thanks for your interest.
