Up for sale is my Hapas Judge 727, a one-of-a-kind custom build from Hapas Guitars in Berlin.
If you’re looking for a production guitar, this isn’t it. This is a highly refined custom instrument built with premium materials and designed from the ground up for players who demand exceptional tuning stability, playability, balance, and tone.
Specifications include a 27” scale length, five-piece wenge and maple neck, Richlite fingerboard, reverse headstock, custom finish, and a Hapas Leviathan bridge pickup. The guitar is equipped with a single bridge pickup and volume control, reflecting a design philosophy focused on simplicity and function.
What immediately stands out about this guitar is how effortless it feels. Despite being a 7-string baritone-scale instrument, it avoids the cumbersome feel that many extended-range guitars suffer from. It is remarkably balanced on a strap, surprisingly lightweight, and exceptionally comfortable to play.
The tuning stability is among the best I have ever experienced on any guitar. It is not unusual to tune the instrument before a show and never touch the tuners again for the remainder of the performance.
The Hapas Leviathan pickup delivers outstanding clarity, punch, and articulation while retaining the character and musicality that many high-output pickups lack. Whether used for modern heavy music, progressive styles, or aggressive rock tones, the guitar remains articulate and responsive.
