1989 Fender Stratocaster MIJ – Made in Japan – Fresh Refret
Up for sale is a 1989 Fender Stratocaster Made in Japan, built at the renowned FujiGen factory during what many players consider a golden era of Fender Japan production.
I’ve owned and played a lot of Stratocasters over the years, and this is genuinely one of the best I’ve had my hands on. It has all the qualities people look for in a great Strat: lively acoustic resonance, excellent balance, a comfortable neck, and that unmistakable Fender snap and clarity.
This is a player’s guitar, not a collector-grade closet queen. It shows honest cosmetic wear and has a number of dings and blemishes accumulated over nearly four decades of use. I have done my best to photograph everything clearly, and I encourage prospective buyers to examine the photos carefully so there are no surprises.
The good news is that the guitar was professionally refretted just one week ago and now plays beautifully. The fresh fretwork makes bends effortless, notes ring clearly across the entire fingerboard, and the instrument feels ready for decades of additional playing.
