In the late 1980s and 90s, Gibson partnered with Japanese master-luthiers to create "Orville", a line dedicated to producing flawless, historically accurate instruments exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. The Orville brand was retired in 1998, making pristine late-90s examples like this incredibly rare and highly collectable.

Built at the world-renowned Terada facility, this Junior features a resonant, solid mahogany slab body and a perfectly carved mahogany neck. Stripped back to the absolute essentials, it relies on a single, biting dogear P-90 pickup and a wrap-around tailpiece.

This 1997 instrument is in outstanding condition for its age, showcasing minimal signs of wear and a beautifully preserved glossy Cherry finish.
