The voices were meticulously handcrafted by A.Gavrilin who was one of the best reedmakers in the second half of last century with reflection of deep understanding of acoustic principles and a commitment to excellence. Influenced by the techniques of masters from "the Golden Era", each reed  component is precisely hand cut and finished while carefully riveted to produce a tone of unparalleled quality for top accordion performers, setting it apart as a true masterpiece of its time. Back in early 1990s, "Pigini" manufacturer from Castelfidarfo has released its first eight custom built instruments "Mythos" series exclusively with reeds made by A.Gavrilin who lived and worked in Italy in early 1990s. These bayans were priced around EUR 40,000 about 35 years ago and distributed to top performers only around the world including Friedrich Lips, Peter Soave, James Crabb, Bjarke Mogensen and others.
