This Strat plays and sounds amazing. The age of the guitar has really helped the wood settle and stabilize. The finish shows exceptionally well for a 20-year-old axe

The frets show virtually no wear, and the fretboard looks clean

The knobs, selector switch, and pickups work perfectly

I just put on a new set of strings

The body has some very light scratches on the horns, the upper back, and around the side and lower edges. I did my best to photo those, and I believe that a good buffing would take out most of them

Most of the gold hardware has a really nice patina, and you can see the difference when compared to the locking strap hardware, which appears unused

The SRV pickguard has some very, very light pick marks. The sale includes a pearloid Warmoth pickguard (not pictured) and a spare back plate (also not pictured)

Non-smoking owners

The case has visible blemishes and spotting and could use a proper cleaning. The case handle has a bit of wear
