This 1972 Hollowbody (no f holes) Greco SA-450 Is an amazing and rare instrument. The model #SA-450 was manufactured in Japan between 1970 and 1972. The majority of these were Semi-Hollowbody guitars. A very few, including this guitar, were made featuring a fully hollow design. The body is in great shape with only one tiny blemish in the top and several marks on the sides and back. For a 1972 vintage, it is very clean. This is a hollow body with only blocking to support the bridge and tailpiece. The guitar is all original and loaded with very chimey Maxon Pups. This is a 24 3/4” scale length and a 1 5/8” nut guitar with a slim profile. Very comfortable and easy to play, particularly for those preferring the narrower neck width
I feel that the frets probably need to be replaced or perhaps taken down to a ”fretless” playing level. In light of this I am reducing the price by $500, hoping that someone needing a comfortable and reliable vintage instrument can benefit.
This Japanese made instrument reflects the fine craftsmanship of the 70s/80s guitar building in Japan. Open book headstock. Sale includes the pictured protective case. If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks for taking a look!
