This is a late 70s/early 80s Vintage Ludwig 3-Piece Drum Kit made out of a 6-ply Maple/Poplar wood with a Birdseye Maple Veneer wrap to give it a signature wood aesthetic.
This kit is in incredible condition given how old it is. I've played it live and in the studio, and taken great care of it. It's got such a lovely warm sound that blends so well. Don't expect an aggressive attack or a punch. This is a quintessential vintage kit that's always been very forgiving to tune and beautiful sounding in harmony with the rest of the snare/cymbals. Not to mention, I've genuinely received so many compliments on this kit from fans and other drummers in live settings.
Things to note:
-The Ludwig-logo bass drum head has a slight 1inch tear in it. It really doesn't affect the sound, but it would need replacing if aesthetically its bothersome.
-The bearings could use a little greasing/oiling, but its a non-issue.
-Very small scratches in some spots (normal wear and tear).
