Fender Jim Root Jazzmaster, Flat Black, made in USA, serial number US20063002.
This is the USA Fender Jim Root Jazzmaster signature model in Flat Black satin finish, built for Jim Root of Slipknot / Stone Sour. It features a stripped-down high-output Jazzmaster platform with mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck, ebony fingerboard with no front position inlays, active EMG 60/81 humbuckers, black hardware, locking tuners, hardtail string-through bridge, single master volume, and 3-position blade switch.
This is the earlier Flat Black USA Jim Root Jazzmaster model, not the Arctic White V4. The key differences are the blank ebony fingerboard, covered EMG 60/81 pickups, and Flat Black finish.
The guitar is in Very Good used condition. It is fully functional and presents very well overall. The satin black finish shows light surface marks, fingerprints, and normal handling wear visible under direct light. The brushed EMG pickup covers show normal patina/tarnish, visible in the close-up photos. The fretboard and frets appear clean with no major fret wear visible in the photos. I do not see any cracks, breaks, neck damage, or structural repairs.
The guitar has a very direct metal-oriented setup: active EMG pickups, no tone control, no Jazzmaster rhythm circuit, no tremolo, and a stable string-through hardtail bridge. It is designed for tight high-gain rhythm playing, heavy riffing, detuned tones, and simple stage-ready control.
Includes the Fender hardshell case shown in the photos. The case is Fender-branded with black exterior and black plush interior. Case has normal exterior handling marks but is solid and fully usable. Case tag shown in the photos is included. No other accessories are included unless shown or specifically stated.
Please review all photos carefully; they show the actual guitar, serial number, front and back, headstock, fretboard, pickups, bridge, controls, rear plates, tuners, case, and visible cosmetic condition.
