For sale is a 1975 Fender Stratocaster in a remarkable clean and original condition. What I have to say about this guitar is not hyperbole. It is a hard tail, Maple neck, and black body that is without finish chips even on the edges of the body. Even though you can't see the grain through the black finish, I believe it must be an ash body. I say this because it weighs 9.2 lbs. and this guitar has as much sustain as I have ever heard from a Strat. Of course, hardtails inherently have more sustain also. If you like the sustain on a good old Fender Tele, you will like this guitar. It is completely virgin as I believe I was the first to open it up and it appears to have never had a screw turned or an adjustment made. The neck is perfectly straight, action is low, Pickups are strong measuring between 5.6 and 5.9. Pickups, Pots, Neck, and serial number are all dated 1975. No wear on the neck and scarcely any string marks on the frets. It is very obvious this guitar has spent the vast majority of the last 50 years in its original case. The nut even looks brand new with the fingerboard lacquer still on the edges. Yes, I am blown away with how clean and original this guitar is but wait until you plug it in. This thing sings out loud, and she'll growl with the best of um. It is a NO excuses guitar and not much else I can say. You'll just have to see for yourself. It is NOT new in the box perfect but pretty doggone close. There are a few places that have some light marks but no scratches through the finish.
