Vintage 1990 Ibanez 540s. Master-crafted bodies and "Wizard" necks were manufactured at the renowned FujiGen Gakki factory in Japan. They were then shipped raw or semi-finished to the Hoshino USA facility (which transitioned from Bensalem, PA to North Hollywood, CA around 1990). When you unbolt the neck of these specific models, you will find an "H&S" ink stamp right in the neck pocket or on the heel. This confirms it was final-fitted, setup, and completed by top-tier builders in the United States. Flamed maple figuring is very nice! This guitar is in excellent condition for its age. There‘s the typical light surface scratches and a longer straight scratch on the back (see photo), but nothing that really detracts from how well the guitar presents. The plastic cap on the 5 way switch has been replaced. There’s brand new Gotoh locking blocks on the nut. All electronics are original with DiMarzio pickups in the F2, C2, C2 HSS configuration. The guitar has been recently re-strung with Ernie Ball Paradigm 10-46 strings. Comes with original hard shell case.
