The Moderne is one of Gibson’s legendary “Modernistic” designs alongside the Flying V and Explorer. While the V and Explorer eventually entered production in the late 1950s, the Moderne remained largely a mystery for decades, making it one of the most distinctive and sought-after shapes in the Gibson family. This Korean-made Epiphone reissue captures that iconic design in a highly playable and collectible instrument.

This example is exceptionally clean for its age. The finish presents beautifully with excellent color and grain, the gold hardware remains bright, and the guitar has been fully tested. Both pickups, all controls, and the selector switch function exactly as they should. The neck is straight, the guitar plays comfortably up and down the fretboard, and it is ready to perform or display.

A major bonus is the inclusion of the original Epiphone factory Moderne box, complete with model designation and original packaging materials. Original boxes rarely survive and add to both the collectibility and presentation of the instrument.
