1981 Tokai ES100 - '59 ES-335 replica / MIJ / Nitro finish

45 year old 335 in great condition. Feels and sounds like a vintage Gibson. These have a reputation for being the closest you can get to a real ‘59 without selling a kidney/child/house. Tokai at the time were hell bent on creating the very best 335 replica, down to the plywood, neck profile and high quality woods. This guitar has aged gracefully over its 45 year life and nails that iconic woody 335 tone.

• Original frets in great shape with fret nibs 
• Overall very clean save for some nicks in the binding and a small dent on the back of the body, both pictured. The nitro on the neck has begun to wear through and has the around the horns area on the back of the body the nitro has a light texture from wear or leaning on something. Could likely be buffed out, but I haven’t messed with it as isn’t really noticeable. The cavity sticker was lost at some point before I owned it, but model is written on tape under the neck pickup (pictured)  which was been the case for all three es100s I’ve owned.
