The Akai S2800i is part of Akai’s legendary S3000-series sampler family, delivering the same core sampling engine, 32-voice polyphony, resonant filters, advanced sample editing, and renowned Akai sound in a compact 2U rack format. The “i” version includes the SCSI interface as standard, making it ideal for modern storage upgrades and large sample libraries. The S2800i shares much of its architecture with the flagship S3000, offering the same 16-bit/44.1kHz sampling quality, powerful modulation system, and punchy, detailed sound that helped define countless records throughout the 1990s.
