a great 1988 Steinberger GL-4TW in the rare WHITE color with HSS EMG pickups and the legendary Trans-Trem locking tremolo, and with an uber rare original Steinberger HARD CASE

Only 5% of GL Steinbergers were made in White, which was an upcharge, and extremely few GLs were ever delivered in the original Steinberger Hard Case included here, which also was a stiff upcharge as well.

this great example is 100% original, and has just returned from a full pro service and is playing great with no issues.

Condition is very good+ to excellent- with only a little play wear (as attested by the EMG logos on the pickups which are still present, not rubbed off), with overall light wear:

• Minor fret wear in lower positions
• Light cosmetic marks and scratches from normal use
• small area on faceplate bottom left corner missing gel coat.

The Trans-Trem received the full service with new RS double-sealed bearings, burnished roller saddles, proper lubrication, fully intonationed, and transposing feature fully fine tuned and dialed in.

Set up with new D’Addario 9–42 Steinberger strings.
Includes original Hard Case.

Original Steinberger GL guitars are the iconic, one-piece carbon-composite headless designs of the 1980s—played by Knopfler, Van Halen, Gilmour—and can never be made again after the original molds were destroyed in the early ’90s.
