This device lets a musician plug their instrument into a small wireless transmitter so they can play without being physically connected to an amp or mixer by a cable on stage. More movement/freedom during performance. The UV-3 is marketed as a violin system because of the microphone clip and intended mounting position, but the underlying U-Series wireless platform is designed around multiple instrument-specific transmitters (violin, flute, saxophone, guitar, etc.) that all work with the same receiver. I’ve personally used for brass instruments, accordion, bass and a couple more. Used it for a few months. Since then it’s been sitting in my closet. I test it every now and then.
Works perfect.Essentially new. I Don’t need it anymore.
