It's been modded and does sound fantastic. I don't know if anything's been modded internally, obviously, the head basket and the baffles have been removed. Real sleeper of a mic, has a lot of character and I don't think it sounds like anything else. I had a manic episode and bought quite a few few mics. I love this one, but I can't keep them all so I'm putting everything up and seeing what sells.

Here's an Oktava MK-219 Condenser Microphone from the early 2000's! Oktava has made a variety of different ribbon, dynamic, and condenser microphones since the 1950's out of Russia. These MK-219's have a respectable build quality for their low price. The large diaphragm capsules inside are particularly impressive. While these condensers aren't a perfect match on every source, they excel on drums, acoustic guitars, and guitar amps. In the wrong placement these MK-219's can sound harsh, but will surprise you with their high end clarity and low end extension when a proper match is found. Overall, these are a nice option to have around for the price. This one is in near perfect condition with its original case and clip. Grab this affordable condenser microphone from Oktava!
