The Judas is a collaboration between Acid Rain Pedalworks and Ted Bizon, with engineering by Nick Williams (ex-Dunwich Amplification). It is a fresh take on a few classic sounds and circuits, including the beloved "Swedish Chainsaw".
The Judas consists of an OpAmp Distortion and a Silicon fuzz running PARALLEL to each other, then converging into a Boost-Only HM-2 style gyrator EQ with a master output.
While this pedal retains the familiar HM-2 EQ, the gain stages and the way they interact with the EQ are entirely new and never done before, offering a wide variety of tones in addition to its own form of the Chainsaw sound.
The Fuzz and Distortion output volumes are permanently maxed out, but with the added ability to be able to blend in how much of each circuit is introduced into the EQ block.
All units will be Acid Etched with Sangre De Christo (Red) LEDs and mini Brutalist knobs, Featuring Neutrik jacks, Premium footswitches, Central transistors, and Texas Instruments IC's. PCBs and SMT PCB assembly provided by JLCPCB.
Runs on standard 9v Center Negative power ONLY.
