This is not your average 1973-1975 MXR Blue Box Script Logo, but in fact a transitional year model in which the resistors were mainly that of what would have become a Block-Logo 1977 and on unit but were mixed with resistors of Tan color (which were Block logo post 1976) and Dark Brown resistors (which were usually the only ones used in the script models pre block era. So this pedal has the guts of both and actually will perform slightly on the less chaotic side of its earlier counterpart due to advancements in design! The protective foam was replaced at some point so it’s new foam for better grounding!
It’s a Synthy- Octave Fuzz that starts out at 1 on full blown low octave square wave bit crush and as you dial up past 5/6-10 it becomes a full on Warm super thick fuzz!! not many script models with tan resistors out there!
