Truly a legacy piece of Leo Fender. All original (unsure about the pots) 1981 G&L L1000 With a vintage hard shell case.
Fresh setup with fresh strings.
Now about the condition of the bass: No structural issues. Truss rod turns and neck is set straight With bit of relief. Medium low action. Plays very well. Plenty of checking on neck and body, Hard to tell in pictures.
All electronics work. Unsure if the pots are original. They appear all original.
If you have any questions please reach out. I can send more detailed pictures if needed.
This is a vintage bass and will have a vintage character and wear to it such as patina on hardware and finish wear on neck and body.
Currently strung with 45-100 strings. I don’t know how the neck will react to heavier gauge strings.
There are 2 little air bubbles in the finish on the lower horn (see picture). Might’ve been a finish defect from the factory.
The tone this bass has is a very thick wooly warm sound with plenty of high end information And punch.
