The DAM Bum Fuzz is one of the more sought-after fuzz pedals built by David Main under the DAM (Differential Audio Manifestationz) brand. DAM was founded in 2001 in South Yorkshire, England, and became highly respected for meticulously built vintage-style fuzz pedals, especially Tone Bender and Fuzz Face-inspired designs.
The Bum Fuzz is generally considered a raw, vintage-style fuzz with a simple control layout and a thick, aggressive character. Like many David Main designs, it focuses on carefully selected transistors and old-school construction methods rather than adding lots of controls or modern features.
