I was going to list this as excellent. But I settled on very good because I would rather that the buyer be pleasantly surprised with the condition, which is basically showroom quality. I did not really discern any scratches or dinks or cracks of any kind all over the guitar.
These amber finishes are a little difficult to photograph, as depending on the angle and the amount of sunlight, the color is not easy to capture on a cell phone. I would say the second picture is the most accurate in terms of how the guitar looks in person.
IMPORTANT- THE PICKUP SELECTOR APPEARS TO BE IN REVERSE - such that when the selector is in the up position, that's the bridge pickup, and when it's in the down position that is the rhythm pickup.
This is how the guitar was wired when I received it. It never really bothered me, so I never changed it.
As you can see, there is a quality control document from the manufacturer. I am not the original owner, and it appears that other guitars from this vintage have different knobs. I did not change the knobs and did not change anything on the guitar other than the volume pot, which is a Bournes 500k low load - just like Eddie used to like. I really only put a couple of hours of use on this guitar. It was never taken on gigs and was never removed from the house.
8.4 lbs without trem bar on bathroom scale. The neck is pretty incredible with all the birdeyes. It's hard to tell, but there might be a little bit of fret sprout, but i'm not going to deal with that, as it might not be an issue for the new owner.
Also something to mention is that the there is a strap which needs to be reglued, which holds the top of the case from going fully over. Also I noticed one of the pole pieces in the bridge pick up has some oxidation on it.
Please note that the guitar and case are being sold as is, and I do not have a return policy, unless the guitar arrives in significantly different condition than is shown in this listing.
So please ask any questions, and I will try my best to answer.
Thanks for reading this listing. Chris
