Selling my MXR M280 Vintage Bass Octave pedal. It has been lightly used, kept in a smoke-free environment, and is in fantastic overall condition. There are just a few minor cosmetic marks from normal, careful use, but everything functions flawlessly.

If you are looking for that classic, fat, synthy sub-bass growl (think the legendary Boss OC-2 vibe) but don’t want to sacrifice half your pedalboard to get it, this mini pedal is the perfect solution. Unlike vintage pedals, the tracking on this is incredibly fast and tight, even down into the lower register.

What sets this apart from other mini octavers is the Constant Headroom Technology (CHT)—it internally pushes 18V out of a standard 9V power supply, giving you massive, clean headroom so your low-end never gets muddy or clips out awkwardly. It also has a really handy Mid Switch on the front that gives your clean tone an instant +6dB punch at 800Hz to help you cut right through a heavy mix (you can even adjust this internally up to +13dB via a trimpot).

Controls:

 Dry: Blends your unaffected clean bass signal back in.

 Oct 1: Controls the volume of the signal 1 octave down (throaty, classic growl).

 Oct 2: Controls the volume of the signal 2 octaves down (sub-bass, dub territory).

 Mid Switch: Engages the selectable midrange boost for extra bite and definition.
