The Made in Japan Traditional Series revives Fender’s most beloved classic designs with a modern twist. Authentic Fender® DNA, vintage-voiced pickups, iconic silhouettes and bold new colorways combine with the precision of Japanese craftsmanship to create instruments that are classic in spirit and modern in expression.
The Made in Japan Traditional 2025 Collection ’60s Jazz Bass® brings fresh expression to one of the most beloved bass designs in history. The “Competition 3-Color Sunburst / Aged Natural” models offer a distinctive reimagining of Fender’s iconic competition stripe, weaving the brand’s most iconic colors into the body design in a way that feels at once nostalgic and entirely new. “Stardust Pink” and “Stardust Blue” finishes blend shimmering glitter into modern pastel tones, completed with Fender’s signature burst for a look that only Fender® could create.
A gloss-finished basswood body and “U”-shaped maple neck with a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard and 20 vintage-style frets provide the comfortable, classic feel that defines the Traditional series. The 4-saddle vintage-style bridge and original Traditional series pickups deliver the rich, expressive low-end tone that made the Jazz Bass® a legend.
The Made in Japan Traditional 2025 Collection ’60s Jazz Bass® unites the timeless voice of the Jazz Bass® with the artistry and precision of Japanese craftsmanship. The designs that shaped popular music continue to inspire — more vibrant and alive than ever.
