Nobels ODR-1 BC overdrive. This is not the original version but the more recent one with a bass cut switch that seems to benefit humbucker equipped guitars. The secret sauce in this pedal is the Spectrum switch, which keeps the mids the same but reduces or boosts highs and lows together. It can go from a mid heavy sound to a slightly scooped sound. My Telecaster responds really well to this pedal, which is probably why it’s a Nashville favorite.
I bought this pedal around Christmas of last year, and it’s been to a few rehearsals, but other than that it‘s been in my smoke free home. Comparing it to a JHS Morning Glory v4, I’d say it probably has more low end grit when the Spectrum control is pushed clockwise of noon. I’m selling it because I’m using a Jazzmaster more lately, and that’s a guitar that benefits from lighter overdrives with a lot of headroom. I’ve recently bought a Morning Glory Clean and it will probably do better by the Jazzmaster than either the Morning Glory V4 or this Nobels ODR-1 BC.
The pedals comes with the original box and instructions. The Bass Cut is presently off and will be shipped as such.
