This is a another fine Gold Tone product. Albeit a little bit of an unusual instrument.

The Good:

The rail pickup is quite hot, this thing really sings through an amp. Its tuned 1 octave higher than a standard guitar. I did a little work with the set up to make it play okay, and set the intonation as well so it plays more in tune up the neck.

This could be used to get major mandolin vibes directly from your electric rig.

The Bad:

Someone in the past chose to adorn this particular one with a sticker from Gold Tone. I opted not to remove it fearing that the finish may have slightly faded over time. The sticker may look more attractive than a suspiciously round lighter section of finish. A small discolored area can be seen near the strap button. Normal wear from being used can be seen as well but generally this thing is in good shape.
