This is an awesome M160 made in the 2000s. I've had it for 12-13 years, but I have too many vintage 160s, so some newer ones must go. These might be my favorite mics, and sound amazing on so many sources. I used this one and its mate as drum overheads on many recordings. This particular one has some light marks from mic clips here and there, and has the usual very slightly bent basket on top. That's how it looked when I bought it. About half of these that I've owned over the years are like that, and the ribbon element is so far down, the basket doesn't actually contact anything inside. You can see what I mean in the last photo.

Every era of M160 sounds a little different. The new ones sound fantastic, and I'd happily use them, but this one, even though it's only something like two decades old, it sounds a bit more like my 60s and 70s ones, though with a hair more output, and there's a bump in the top end. Though, to be fair, each of my old ones sounds different. These later examples are a lot more consistent. Anyway, I'm rambling. This is a great mic!
