Vintage Gibson-branded Schaller M6 180 gold tuners - '78 original 3x3 set - Norlin Era Les Paul Custom

These are not generic replacement tuners. They are Schaller-made, Gibson-branded machine heads from the late 1970s / early 1980s period, exactly the kind of hardware found on many Norlin-era Gibson instruments.

The set is complete, fully functional, and turns smoothly, but it is not cosmetically perfect. Expect visible road wear, gold plating wear, aging, marks, patina, and the honest scars of a real vintage part that has actually lived on a guitar. No fake relic work, no artificial aging, no museum nonsense — just old Gibson hardware doing what old Gibson hardware does.

The Schaller M6 design has serious Gibson pedigree. It is strongly tied to late-70s Les Paul Customs and other Gibson models from the era, including SG, ES, L5-S and similar 3x3 headstock applications. The M6 format also appears in major artist-linked Gibson territory, including Randy Rhoads’ 1974 Les Paul Custom reissue spec and Adam Jones’ 1979 Les Paul Custom spec.

That is the point here: stable German-made Schaller mechanics, Gibson-branded casings, gold Norlin-era attitude, and the right visual weight for a black Les Paul Custom, SG Custom, ES-355, or any period-correct Gibson restoration from the late 70s / early 80s.
