Made in the late 60s to mid-70s in Japan, this rare, hand-crafted Angelica Model 9470 is a premium, 'lawsuit-era' replica of the iconic Gibson Dove. It features the legendary square-shoulder dreadnought body shape, an ornate engraved dove-bird pickguard, a pearloid-inlaid 'mustache' bridge, and the traditional Gibson-style 'open book' headstock with an original 'Custom' truss rod cover. Because the Angelica brand was primarily imported into the UK and Europe, these high-quality Japanese instruments are incredibly hard to find today. The guitar features a comfortable, medium 'C' neck profile typical of 1970s Japanese builds that fills out the palm nicely without feeling too thick. Combined with its longer 25.5-inch scale length, it gives the strings a tight, highly responsive feel under your fingers that is perfect for aggressive strumming.
