Part of my personal collection. 1A Primera signed model similar to Paco de Lucia's blanca that he used on his 'Cositas Buenas' album.The best sounding Carrillo I've owned out of 5 that were in my collection. Beautiful European Spruce top and gorgeous Spanish Cypress back and sides with a nitro finish.
NO CRACKS which is very rare for a 24 year old guitar. Carrillo makes his guitar based on Santos Hernandez. The tone is quick, muy flamenco not overly bassy and with that slight modern tone, perfect for other styles from folk guitar, jazz to Bossa-nova even to classical.
Artists using Carrillo guitars exclusively are the preeminent Brazilian guitarist Yamandu Costa, flamenco guitarists Juan Manuel Cañizares, Niño Josele, Josemi Carmona, Javier Limon as well as the late-great Paco de Lucia.
