Chrome is a classic look for a pan, but the high gloss black is a more quality consistent finish. Many people find it more appealing to the eye than the chrome pan. Hi-Gloss Black is a new thicker material that adheres to the metal much like a chrome giving it a sound very close to a chrome pan resulting in a more brilliant resonance.

VistaPan manufactured many types and tuning configurations of pans (Double Second, Double Tenor, Single Cello, etc.). I believe this is a pair of Double Seconds in Hi-Gloss Black. However, steel drums are not our specialty, so we urge anyone with more information on these pans to send us a message with any insight they may have that would help us better identify them.

These pan drums are perfect for a student level player looking to expand or start their kit! Included in this set are two 22 1/2in full size steel drums, one of which is on legs. They'd likely benefit greatly from a tune-up, but condition-wise they are in good shape! Clear signs of use and imperfections are present throughout, but they do not appear to affect the objective functionality of the pans.
