1984 Jackson Soloist J 0186. Guitar has been slightly modded and is in ***player*** condition, so please see all pictures and ask questions before purchasing.
This originally had the triple toggle switches, but was modded to a three-way blade switch. The bottom toggle is still in tact and serves as a coil split for the bridge pickup. The two single coils are dimarzio stacked singles and the bridge is likely a double screw bobbin Duncan JB or distortion. The only hole from the original toggle switches not being used or covered with a mounting screw, has been plugged and finished over. It’s hard to see it unless it’s in direct light.
As mentioned, this is a players guitar and the finish is no exception. There are several dings, dents, filled holes, cracking paint, and lifting clear (as seen on some pointy headstock charvels and early Jacksons). Most notably, there are two bigs dings near the jack and arm contour, a ding on the back of the neck, cracking finish on the back of the headstock, and two areas where the cleat is lifting on the headstock. There are other various dings, dents, and scratches. Please see the pictures, as it would be too hard to list them all.
The guitar is currently setup in E standard with Ernie ball 9.5-46s. It plays good, but the rod is all the way loosened and the neck is pretty straight. Luckily, the neck should only settle into more of the bow once fall comes around. There is also a bit of fret wear, but doesn’t effect the playability as far as I can tell.
Once again, please see all pictures and ask any questions before purchasing. This is a player-grade instrument. Will be shipped in an ESP hardshell case. Nothing else is included.
