This is a Gemini Pickups G90, basically his P90 formula but done in a humbucker sized pickup with split coils for hum cancelling. Here is the specs from the website description:
“Rough cast A4 bar magnets, 42awg plain enamel, 8.2k bridge.”
It’s a beautiful, vintage voiced p90 sound, if you’ve ever been disappointed by other hum cancelling p90 because they’re missing that sparkle, this definitely has all that chime and sparkle, along with all the string definition and percussive attack you’d expect from a proper single coil p90. But this one does it with no noise!
It’s a very cool pickup, but I got it for an Esquire build meant for rocking hard, so I wanted something meatier and higher output, whereas this is definitely more in the classic and vintage camp.
