Ludwig 16" X 22" 81-83 6 Ply Maple White Cortex Bass Drum Shell B/O Badge #3084418 - LBDS-701-22-WC

Ludwig Vintage 81-83 6 Ply Maple 16" X 22" Bass Drum Shell with White Cortex with single seam, so produced during the transition period from double seams on bass drums to single seams on bass drums. White Cortex finish is in good condition with no major scratches, nicks or dings. Blue/Olive Rounded Corner Badge #30844185 (We think as it is pretty scared up) that is lifting (see picture). Clear Maple Interior that is in decent condition. We would recommend a quick hand sand and new clear coat. Factory drilled for a P-1765 Modular Tom Holder Mount, 2 pair of #1308 1/2" Curved Spurs and 20 P-2243B Large Classic Lugs. NO ADDITIONAL HOLES PRESENT IN SHELL. Bearing edges are both good with no gouges and seemingly very level.
Definitely a late term Chicago era drum manufactured somewhere between 81 and early 83. The Modular Mounting System was introduced in 1981 so the drum was made in 81 or after but no later than very early 83 because they had completely changed to Large Keystone Chicago Badges during 83 and by early to mid 84 Ludwig moved to Monroe, NC and only used the Large Keystone Badges with Monroe, NC on them. So it is a pretty narrow time frame that this drum could have been produced and definitely was a Chicago era produced drum.
