Upgraded and serviced Fender Reissue Reverb Tank with a 1964 GIBBS spring pan, NOS RCA 6K6 driver Tube, and metal-shielded reverb cables for the original 1960's "drip" that a standard reissue cannot deliver.
This is the service/upgrade I've done for several pros, including Deven Berryhill of The Surfaris.
He says: Rick does a great job! Mine sounds rad.
This 1965 GIBBS spring pan has the correct impedances and physics to deliver the iconic, original "Phweeh-Phweeh" drip sound that modern pans are unable to reproduce, due to the metals they are made from now. There is no sound like a Fender Reverb with an original Gibbs Pan. You hear it on every Dick Dale record, and every first-wave surf record like Wipeout and Pipeline.
If you know surf reverb, this is the 100% correct vintage Fender sound you want, without a vintage price.
Normal wear for a ~25 year old unit. A small piece of Tolex missing from one edge gives it some character.
