Here is one of my rare birds I am letting go just to thin the herd so my kids won’t stress when I go… I have had this guitar for about 15 years and I have had some work to it like a neck reset and just some good luthier love to bring the action down and make it an awesome playing resonator with tons of mOJo! It’s all original except for the tuners, which are newer. This is almost identical to Mark Knopfler’s national 1937 resonator featured on the famous album Brothers in armsalso with Hawaiian scene but different headstock. You will be the coolest guy or gal on the block with this 90 year-old relic. Now here is the skinny good and bad. As you will see in the pictures on the back where the neck meets the nickel body, some smack off, took a saw to the back…thinking that is how you would change the action or make it play better I would guess? It’s been like that as long as I have had guitar and who knows who did this, or when but obviously someone who didn’t know their rectum from a hole in the ground. As you will see there is a side seam of nickel/metal that came open that the jag off (sorry) took epoxy glue and tried to seal off the split in the metal seam. I have meant to attend to this as long as I’ve had this guitar, thinking of someone spot welding it or even just gluing it back to close it better and removing the yellowing epoxy glue. I just never got around to it. It really wouldn’t be a big deal to have that done and this does not affect the playability or the sound whatsoever. Lastly, somebody had sanded the back of the headstock and some of the back of the neck, but it’s still retains Its V profile and shape. There is no visible serial number on the headstock which is probably a result of the clueless owner of this guitar. That’s the meat of any issues but again it’s a rarity with it’s beautiful palm trees, and Hawaiian scene. I bought this beautiful custom leather case for it as well. It is ready to play and if I can figure out how to do this, I will upload a video of playing it so you can hear what it sounds like.(don't diss my playing)
