Sounds great and seems to work fine, controls and buttons operate smoothly. A few tiny nicks at top/bottom edges and sides, still in really nice shape cosmetically for being well over 40 years old.
Does not have battery -- meaning that patterns not retained when off/unplugged, which was never an issue for me personally since it's very easy to clear a pattern and program, but could be an issue for live sets. This 909 ha not been gigged since I had it and has been well cared for in studio/climate controlled environments.
The machine takes two AA batteries, It is NOT recommended to use 9V as per the many internet threads, the user will need to source an original AA battery holder or rig something up, please consult the manual before trying. Seller not responsible for damage due to use with incorrect battery.
