For sale, is a custom re-created Eric Clapton "Blind Faith" Telecaster Custom, which has been assembled using a combination of some Fender Custom Shop, genuine vintage, and correct reproduced 50's & 60's parts and components, resulting in a stunning replica of the hybrid Telecaster/Stratocaster Guitar which was likewise assembled from parts for guitarist Eric Clapton, during his tenure with the super-group "Blind Faith" (1969-1970). This replica includes a genuine Fender Custom Shop mid-50's Stratocaster maple neck with vintage style tuning machines (minus the actual "Road Worn" neck fretboard); a '62-'63 Fender double-bound Telecaster Custom body with '62/'63 sunburst finish; Fender reproduced '62/'63 Tele Pickups; and a genuine vintage "Patented" perpendicularly stamped--NOT SLANTED STAMPED, ashtray style Bridge Plate with vintage correct threaded steel saddles.  As an additional tribute, this guitar includes a legendary neck plate which is correctly stamped (70669), commemorating Eric Clapton's famous concert performance at Hyde Park, United Kingdom (UK) with Blind Faith, on June 07, 1969. The guitar's wiring layout  resembles the '62-'63 Telecaster Custom that Eric Clapton used, which includes a Volume Control, Tone Control, and a 3-way blade switch, and operates as follows: Position 1 - Bridge by itself with volume & Tone, Position 2 - Neck by itself - with volume and tone, and Position 3 - Neck by itself with volume & low-tone bypass capacitor), recapturing the tones and performance playability of this unique Guitar. Eric Clapton’s tone on this guitar came mostly from the Position 2 - Middle Pickup Setting, which provided the guitar’s punch and clarity together with the roundness and resonance of the 50's Stratocaster neck. This re-created replica, is based upon images of the original guitar (except for a "Road Worn" fretboard on the neck), and is a unique reproduction.

Historically, Eric Clapton started his career and played his first 3 Professional years using a Telecaster, and used a Telecaster on every album from 1963 to 2021. Eric Clapton used the Telecaster live between 1963 to 1989, but in '63 -'66 as his only guitar, and the other years, he used it for a few songs in concerts, except for a 2 month tour of Japan in 1975, and a Tour of USA in 1976, where the Telecaster was his main guitar. The “Blind Faith” Telecaster Custom is both a historical artifact and a design milestone — a rare fusion of two Fender legendary guitars (Tele & Strat) that defined Eric Clapton’s stage presence in the late 1960s, and continues to inspire guitarists today. A Fender Tweed Deluxe Hard Shell Case is included in the asking price.
