This is an early '00s Cesar Diaz pedal, signed-off and built by his business partner Paul on the inside (Cesar passed in 2002). It's modeled on a Dallas Rangemaster treble boost circuit but adds-in a 3-way tone control (low, mid, high) which adds an eq curve to match each of those positions. It's a good-sounding pedal, nice and simple, and highly sought-after.
Cesar was SRV's guitar tech and pedal fella and he was the one who began making these. It was later modified by Analogman to add an LED light so one can tell when it's in operation and he added true bypass as well.
I found it was nice and quiet when working off the battery but depending on where I had it plugged into on the 9V adapter, it got some noise on the line, so YMMV depending on how you have your board set. It's working 100%.
