This was owned by my late father who purchased it brand new in 1987. It’s an actual beautiful guitar that plays and sounds so beautiful. If you owned it yourself, you’d probably would say it’s in very good condition! But just to be politically correct I don’t want to mislead anybody. So I’m putting good condition but I feel it’s in very good. Considering many other listings I’ve seen. This guitar is going to be a tough one to part with. I just can’t play to my ability any longe, I have carpal tunnel and arthritis in both hands it’s so sad but I can no longer enjoy playing guitar its just hurts me to much and it makes no sense in having such a beautiful instrument sitting doing nothing.
It’s so hard to answer every question in reverbs notes so I’m going off of the serial number and what I found online the guitar does come with a custom case and also comes with an on board electronic Tonewood app already installed in guitar as well as it stock electric sound system all you’ll need is 3 double AA batteries for the tonewood amp and it has a 9volt battery all ready to go for the Alvarez sound system.
The guitar is a dread nut body style with a single cut away. The top wood is solid cedar back sides, and headcap are beautiful burled mahogany The neck material is mahogany with a traditional V or U-shaped profile and volute.
Fingerboard and bridge is Ebony the nut with is 1-11/16 with a bone nut.
Scale length is 25-3/8.
Hardware/ Gold tuners with tiger eye tuner buttons. Electronics original Alvarez Piezo -based dual pickup system I believe this one was a earlier version which featured stereo outputs for a split 3/32 -string blend later upgraded versions often use the system 600T Mk 11.
satin or gloss natural finish to tortoise multi fly body binding, and ornate abalone rosette.
I believe the net block on this is 61 therefore it was manufactured in 1986. And was handmade it has Yari‘s engraved into the top of the It’s a highly shot after Guitar and plays so beautiful. I’ll miss that the most. It’s very easy on the hand even with just too much my dad kept great care of this Guitar and it was played and loved in our house for many years. The only little battle scars that it has came from my youngest brother who also is but he didn’t care like my dad and myself every time we were done playing my late father would always wipe off any fingerprints and then put it back into the case where it being used. I did the same thing and still do with all my instruments.
If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to message me. I’m asking $1,395 some say I should ask a lot and it’s sad enough because of the sentimental value. I just need to move on. I also threw in an old-fashioned style I think you’ll like I will put the tone amp in the case with the
