Based on my research I believe this pickup to have been manufactured between 1973-1976.
This Dimarzio Super Distortion was in the bridge position of a heavily used and toured with 1976 Gibson Les Paul Standard, as shown in the last two pictures. (The case it came in when I bought it had a vintage KISS sticker on it)
I willingly had this pickup removed from that guitar, and it was working wonderfully when it was replaced recently by my guitar tech.
The remaining lead wire is 5 3/4" long.
