I’m genuinely a little heartbroken to be listing this Bach Stradivarius 37. Even though I wasn’t the original owner, this horn has quickly become one of those special instruments that you just don’t come across every day. From the moment I picked it up, it felt right. It has that classic Strad character — warm when you want it, brilliant and projecting when you open it up, with incredible clarity and response across the whole range. This trumpet truly sings. It’s one of those horns that makes you want to keep playing just to hear what it can do next. Whether you’re pushing it in a big band, blending in an orchestra, or just enjoying it at home, it rewards every bit of musicality you bring to it. It plays so effortlessly and in tune that it feels like an extension of yourself.

The horn has been professionally cleaned and polished, and it shows. Everything is crisp, shiny, and ready to go straight into a gig or practice session. The valves move smoothly, the slides are nice and free, and it’s perfectly in tune all the way up and down. In terms of cosmetic condition, it’s excellent overall. There are just a few very tiny, insignificant dings along the top of the bell — the kind of little things that come with real use over the years but have absolutely zero effect on the sound or playability. There’s also a very, very slight bend on the bell that is hardly noticeable at all and doesn’t affect playing in any way. Honestly, most people wouldn’t even spot these small details, and they certainly don’t take away from how stunning this trumpet looks and sounds.

I’ve taken good care of it since it came into my hands because it deserves that kind of respect. Now it’s time to find its next home, and that part really stings. This is the kind of horn that players form real attachments to — the one you reach for when it matters. I know whoever gets it next is going to feel the same way.
