Here is an original vintage Shure 55S dynamic microphone. These were released in 1951, as a follow-up to the Shure 55, and were labeled the “Small Unidyne” at that time; also called “Ultra-Cardioid.” These were also known as the “Elvis Mic” due to his frequent use of this model on stage.
It has a built-in self-adjusting swivel. There is an impedance selector switch on the bottom. Overall, physically this one looks quite good. It has been tested and sounds great. It comes with a cable with the mating MC3M connector on one end, an XLR-M on the other, so it’s ready to put to use!
The cost of shipping includes packing materials and full insurance. Local pickup is also appreciated.
Overseas shipping is an option, but Reverb's system isn't sophisticated enough to offer appropriate rates for different countries. So if you would like it shipped out of the U.S., please drop me a line for a specific quote before purchasing.
